Micron

The Alesis Micron is probably the most powerful small analog-style synth on the market. It has three oscillators per voice, two filters, two effects, editable waveforms, 8-voice polyphony, and a 40-band vocoder. It can do more than the MicroKorg (which I have owned in the past) and it costs less. The sounds this thing can make .. are simply incredible. It does everything. I really like it. The only problem (and I'm not sure this is actually a problem) is that it gets alarmingly hot underneath the LCD screen, right in the vicinity of where the power cord plugs in. There are no vent holes in the shell. Is it supposed to heat up like that? I can only assume so.
