The Risa Uke-Electric Tenor was made in Germany and purchased in .. I think .. 2005. It has four strings, a 17-inch scale, two single-coil lipstick pickups, a string-through-body bridge, and a faux soundhole. There really is a hole there, but it has no real acoustical properties. Originally there was a 3-way selector switch where that sicker is that says "NEW" but it was in a bad spot. There really isn't a good spot to put the switch because the body of this instrument is so small. My hand kept bumping the switch when I was playing, so I took it off. I rewired the tone pot to work as a volume, so now the two knobs control the volume of the two pickups separately, like on a Fender J-bass. It works okay. The Risa is very finicky about intonation; the frets are high in proportion to the space between them, so when I press down hard, notes go sharp. I don't play this one much anymore, but it has its uses. Gives a nice bright, twangy sound.
