Aridifolia is a mantis ixie. I never gave her a type classification, but I will take the initiative right now and call her a type D. Aridifolia's design was inspired by close observation of an actual mantis which was perched on the outside of a window one afternoon late in the summer of '05. She first appeared as Annophila's roommate, and (much to my surprise) she was warmly received by furry fans despite the fact that she's neither cute nor cuddly, and she doesn't even have big round boobs. All of this flies in the face of traditional wisdom when it comes to character design for Furry audiences. There's hope for us yet. Click a thumbnail to view a full image in a new window.
